When should I apply for school?

Applications are accepted year-round and students are enrolled, as space is available, throughout the year.

Who is eligible to attend?

Any student eligible to attend public schools in Michigan is eligible to enroll at Three Oaks Public School. To enroll in Kindergarten, your child must be at least five years of age on December 1st of the school year of enrollment. TOPS does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender, or disability. Charter schools are public schools and all children are encouraged to attend one of our Academies.

Do you test for kindergarten readiness?

No. CSA Boards do not attempt to categorize students at such a young age. Teachers meet students where they are and create individual student learning plans so each student can excel individually and as a whole. CSA Kindergartens are academic kindergartens, which require students to demonstrate proficiency in academic skills to be promoted to first grade.

How do I apply to Three Oaks Public School?

Parents or legal guardians are invited to submit an application for student enrollment at Three Oaks Public School.

How is a student selected for the school?

As a charter school, Three Oaks Public School is a public school and accepts all students. Students will be accepted and assigned to classes on a first come, first served basis. If a particular grade is full, students will participate in a lottery process at the end of the official enrollment period or will be placed on a waiting list in the order enrollment applications are received.

How will I know if my child has been accepted to Three Oaks Public School?

Our office will contact you to let you know your child has been accepted. In addition, we will keep you up-to-date on activities and changes happening at the school and invite you to all school events throughout the summer.

How does my child’s previous school know to send records to Three Oaks Public School?

Our office will contact your child’s previous school and make an official request that his or her records be forwarded to our school.

I still have questions. Who can I call?
